For independent artists

We're looking for a few more musicians.

A small place for independent artists to introduce their music, discover related sounds and meet people who might share their creative interests. Founded by 51 Miles Away, we're inviting 4 more artists to shape the first group.

A clear place for your music.

An individual profile with your story, selected songs or videos, images and direct links to the channels you already use.

A path to new listeners.

People who discover one artist can explore neighbouring sounds and follow what interests them back to the original releases. Audience growth is a possibility, not a promise.

People worth meeting.

Exchange ideas with other independent musicians and creators. A conversation might lead to a collaboration, but there are no promotion duties or forced partnerships.

What participation actually means

Your artist profile, on your terms.

We put together a short introduction in your own words, up to five direct links to songs or videos, and, if you wish, a small photo or artwork gallery. The profile points visitors to your existing site, Bandcamp, YouTube or other official channels. You choose the material and approve the profile before it appears.

We're starting with up to five artists, including 51 Miles Away. We want to learn together what catches listeners' attention and whether useful creative connections grow from the group. You're welcome to exchange ideas; collaboration is an opportunity, never a requirement.

Who we're hoping to find

We're starting around alternative rock, synthpop, darkwave, atmospheric and experimental electronic music, and related sounds. These aren't strict genre boundaries: we're looking for enough musical overlap that listeners who enjoy one artist might also enjoy another. You don't need an expensive production or a music video to take part.

Occasional stories, beyond the profile

When there's a story worth exploring, we may also develop a researched portrait or interview — with context, questions and room for an honest assessment. Our first feature about 51 Miles Away shows the approach and openly discloses our connection to the band. Editorial features are selected separately from membership; neither an article nor a positive judgment is guaranteed.

What it costs

Nothing during the founding phase. No commission, no exclusive agreement and no automatic charge later. If anything about that ever changes, everyone gets to decide for themselves whether they want to continue.

What we're building — and where we stand

Signal to Voice is a new, small network without its own established audience yet. We can offer a thoughtful presentation, links to your original releases and the chance to help shape a group of related artists. We can't guarantee streams, press placements or publicity results.

What you can share

Start with a short introduction and a link to one song or video. If you like, send us two or three more links, a short demo reel you've already made, and a small selection of photos or artwork. We can start with just one track; you don't need a press kit.

We don't embed third-party players or store music files. Any images would be used only with your permission, with credits where appropriate. We'll agree on the wording and selection before publishing your profile.

Questions before joining? Write to us first. No artist profile goes online without the artist's approval.
