51 Miles Away

Music about loss, loneliness and still looking for a way through.

51 Miles Away brings together singer and songwriter Sven Frei from Augsburg and musician and producer Andy “Sharky” Schaper in Gardelegen. Andy develops the instrumental arrangements and productions at Ampire-S. Studio. Their songs move between alternative rock and electronic sounds, often dealing with loss, loneliness and hope.

A little background

The short story.

Sven writes and sings, while Andy handles the instruments and production at his Ampire-S. Studio in Gardelegen. Their album Offroad came out in 2012, including the song “The End of Night”. In October 2026, they returned to that song with a new official music video.
